I admit to being drawn in by my instagram suggestions lately. It makes you realize how important food photography is because if it looks interesting as a small picture among a host of other pictures, then I'll click on it to go to the site. If the picture happens to show a custardy baked good, or some interesting pasta, or just about anything with a fried egg on top, I'm reeled in. I don't have a particular site to suggest, though. I'll follow someone for a couple of days, then I'll drop them and follow new people.
Lots of good food websites mentioned. Dam Delicious is a favorite and Allrecipes has the reviews that are helpful. Food Network and Test Kitchen have good recipes.
No one mentioned this one. Good recipes, but they can be time consuming. I always go to them first for Holiday or company cooking or for something special.

I think I have answered this one before but will give it another try: I do like allrecipes, but my favorite varies. I just put in what I am interested in making and go from there.
* Epicurious
* Raos (Italian recipes from the famous Rao's restaurant in NYC). Trivia... the owner played the FBI Director on the Sopranos, recently deceased.
* Saveur
* Bon Appetit
* Colavita (Italian recipes from the olive oil co)
* My Greek Dish
* The View from Great Island
* Fresh New England (.com)
* Food & Wine

I do the same, especially when looking for recipes to use up what's in the fridge. You can't get the same information from cookbooks, unless you want to spend half the day looking.
Google recipes using tomatoes and boom, hundreds pop up. Allrecipes has helpful reviews from people who already made the dish. If ten people say to use one cup, not two, I'll follow their advise.
