Gingerbread We had this a lot, with whipped cream.
2 eggs
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup molasses
3/4 cup shortening
2 1/2 cups flour
2 t. baking powder
1 cup boiling water
1 t. ginger
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. cloves
1/2 t. soda
1/2 t. salt
1 1/2 cups cooked rice
1 t. onions
1 cup mushrooms
3 T. butter
2 1/2 T flour
2 cups milk
1 large can tuna
1/4 cup pimento
1/2 cup peanuts
Buttered crumbs
2# hamburg
1 t. salt
3/4 cup uncooked rice
1/2 t. poultry seasoning
2 T flour
1/2 t. dry mustard
1/2 t. baking powder
2 onions, chopped
dash pepper
2 cans tomato soup
2 cans water
Mix all ingredients, except soup and water. Form into balls.
Mix soup and water, pour over porcupines.
Bake, covered, about 1 1/2 hours at 350.

1 1/2 cups steamed squash (pumpkin) or whole can
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 t. salt, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon
Stir in:
1 envelope gelatin mixed with 1/4 cup cold water
Cool mixture in refrigerator
Beat 3 egg whites with 1/2 cup sugar. Fold into cool squash mixture.
Pour into cooked pie shell
Chill
Whip
1 jar cream with some sugar, vanilla or rum
spread over chilled pie. sprinkle with nutmeg
