I am taking fried cocktail size crab balls to a luncheon tomorrow: I need an idea for a dipping sauce.

SPICY CRAB SAUCE

2/3 c mayonnaise
2 Tbsp ketchup
2 tsp sriracha sauce (more or less)
1 tsp grated ginger or ginger powder
1 tsp granulated garlic powder
1 tsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp sugar of choice

**for a large crowd, double all the ingredients**

I would bring some home made tartar sauce, too.

I bet they'd be good with jezebel sauce mixed with mayo for smoothness.

You also can't go wrong with good old cocktail sauce.

You may also want to consider a generic tartar sauce for those that prefer no jolt and a spicy remoulade sauce for those loving jolt!

I thought about the spicy versus non spicy. For me, I can't imagine no kick, but there is, at least one gal in the group that things anything is too spicy. On the other hand I am not sure she will eat a crab cake either?

My go to for any fried seafood is, mayo, lime or lemon juice, a bit of pickle relish and a few sprinkles of Old Bay.

I've always been a fan of horseradish for 'kick'.
