Default Quick recipes that DO NOT use "Cream of" soups!

I am looking for a few, really yummy quick one-pot or casserole recipes that DO NOT use canned "Cream of" this and that soup. They are surprisingly hard to find.

I need a few I can whip up right after work on top of the stove or in the oven in about 30 minutes - that teens will eat too. I don't mind chopping vegetables, or using several seasonings. In fact, I enjoy that part.

Thanks!

Anytime I run across a recipe that uses a soup...I substitute it with:
1/3 FLOUR
1/3 OIL
2 ½ MILK
1 TABLESPOON CHICKEN BASE (optional)
any seasonings you want

This may not be exactly the same as the original recipe...but has always worked for me.
If this is too thick, add some water...too thin...thicken with flour.

Good idea and you're controlling the sodium.

Another though-stewed or diced tomatoes, shredded cheeses, stocks, broth.

Ground beef, peas, and gravy, with mashed potatoes on the top.

Once you've browned the beef, made the gravy and mashed potatoes (I'd make it from a mix), you can toss it in a casserole dish and heat it through in the oven.

Oh...and with the above, some ingredients can be kept in the refrigerator, premade, before you toss it all together.
