It's kinda different when you're a gal that who's car repair expertise is limited to changing tires and the oil. Ah well...thanks. Hopefully it will be a good decision.

If you buy a used vehicle in Good condition at a Great price, then you can afford to spend a bit of money, if it needs a few parts eventually to put it in A+ condition.

Your buying it at a lot less then NEW would cost.

Once in a while i see a used Tacoma or Tundra which looks to be a pretty fair price.

They sell a lot of Subaru Outbacks in Oregon also. They look to be pretty good vehicles.

Chow's not really a hands-on, work-on-your-vehicle-kind-of-guy. My ex BF made a living at it. It came in very handy. All things considered, I thank my lucky stars I now have Chow in my life.

You've got a very Good Man Chowy, as far as i can tell.

Back in the ol' days i was a mechanic fer quite some time. I even worked on Clint Eastwood's vehicles in Carmel.

I'm not proficient with the computers on the newer vehicles, though.

Haha, Hawk, as far as I'm concerned, you appreciate the beauty of life/nature, you can provide grub, and you like watching movies... really, what else is there?

I've never seen it mentioned if there is a Mrs. Hawk ??? Mountain man needs a good mountain woman on those snowy nights.

He did have, from what I remember, a very beloved wife at one point. She sadly passed away, from that awful, terrifying disease, cancer. Hawk often talks about her, and his other beloved family members. I think he might have, at this point, a lady friend that he sees now and again. I'm not sure how serious they are. **waits for Hawk to embellish **

But, yeah, Rakin, both mountain man and mountain woman need mountain men/women/whatever on those snowy nights.
