I met a woman on the subway who had a wedding ring on her right hand, I said "you have the wedding ring on the wrong hand" she replied "I married the wrong man"
i did wear rings on that finger before i was married. they didnt look anything like engagement or wedding bands...what's the big deal? it's a ring finer--there are rings for every finger, and growing up, it was big to wear many rings at a time (now that is not true anymore0--looks tacky)

a freind told me that in Colombia, they actually wear their wedding bands on the right hand not the left--i bet that is true in other countries as well.

I was under the impression that women typically wore wedding bands on that finger only.
She wasn't in today but I was browsing pics on the company site of the Halloween party from last month. She's in one and there is no ring. She's probably just wearing one but perhaps I will ask about it next week.
sure! I've been looking at chocolate diamond band rings and since I have a nice lapis ring on my right hand already, if I did buy a chocolate diamond band ring I'd wear it on my left!
I do. When I got divorced, not having anything on that finger was hard to get used to; I was used to fidgeting around with my band and engagement ring. So I went out and bought myself a ring - one that does NOT look anything like a wedding band or engagement ring. I wear a couple other rings on other fingers, too, but I just like rings.
I thought I was the only one who did this! Plus it covers up the permanent dent on that finger from wearing a wedding ring for 20 yrs.
I used to wear one if I went out to a bar with girlfriends and didn't want to get hit on. Thought it might ward off unwanted attention. It didn't work. Guys would say "I see you're married but are you happily married?" **yawn**
