That that would be fun. Albeit yuppish... I am more gritty about it.
Yeah that is a bit too clean lined. There is a photo of a fireplace area I pulled out of a magazine and it had to be out west somewhere because they built the fiireplace into the side of this raw brick mountain that looked like the Grand Canyon and it was really cool. Probably more to your liking.
Whatever I can scrounge up. I love to grill roast or whatever. Seafoods are fun.
Sometimes i grill a tri-tip on my charcoal Weber. Have it long with baked potato, soft french bread, a green salad(homegrown cherry tomato, cucumber, radish) with ranch dressing.....Yummy YUM

The other thing I like to do is cut a red potato in half, add some extra virgin olive oil and kosher salt and go right onto the grill or under the broiler. Let it roast up and turn a golden crisp.
You say that you have a blog, but are you making any money off of it? You could be getting paid to write stories and stuff for the newspapers and magazines. You seem to have talent.
Thank you for the compliment. My blog is under construction - I'm one of those OCD-types who want it to be perfect before it gets released, rather than just passable. I know that content is king, but I still pay too much attention to form.
As for making money at it - meh - it would be nice, but I don't think people would pay to read this stuff.
I often do a Floribbean Winterfest feast, if my friends from the hinterlands come down. Coconut rice with ginger, seasoned black beans, spoonbread, plantanos (or maduros), stewed okra, callaloo, and lime sorbet and tres leches cake for dessert. Someone will usually grill chicken or shrimp outside. I do have a smoker outside also that I rarely use, but guests are welcome to.
I have this kind of food all the time, but when my friends come in from Chicago, NOVA/DC or Philly, they appreciate the whole tropical theme.
I've got so many fruits ripening right now, I can't keep track. Papayas are prolific this year. Lemons, tangelos are gorgeous. I have way too many figs. And for some reason the mulberry tree is just weeping ripe mulberries. I can't wait for the pink grapefruit next month... yum...

Oh, lord...all that plus the balsamic reduction thing... *wishing for the drooling emoticon*
Dogwalker, you truly must be an inspirational girl.
I'm a lucky girl! So glad I'm not a vegetarian. I should be, but I will just settle for being a hypocrite. LOL
