But isn't a mob a like-minded group by definition? If a group of people is in disagreement, it's not a mob. I said above that I like to experience the feelings of a group (listening to live music or watching a parade are very poignant events for me and I often cry). That's why I am scared of ever being near a real mob, like a riot. Those feelings would terrify me.

Yep, that's why I call them a mob, because that's what they often turn into!

That's why the authorities were often wary of more than even three people getting together to demonstration.
