I kind of feel embarrassed about posting this but whatever, we're all anonymous right? I was chatting with a male friend earlier and the subject of sex came up. I mentioned I hadn't had sex since my last relationship 20 months ago. I'm in my early 20s. He seemed shocked, and proceeded to tell me how sorry he felt and how sad my situation was, lol. I don't have a high sex drive and am totally ok with my situation, in fact I've never felt ashamed or embarrassed to admit I haven't had sex in foreever. I'm proud of myself. I value a committed relationship more than I value meaningless sex. So anyway, what's the longest you've been without it?
6 years, but its willful celibacy -- too many bad diseases floating around.
Interesting thread. This probably should have been broken out by age ranges because the older you are, its just more likely that you've had dry spells. Im thinking that someone on the plus side of 40 will have much longer dry spells and many more of them.
I dont remember what my longest was. I am thinking maybe a month or two.

What nonsense. Longest I went without was after split with my ex-husband. About 6 years. I had neither the time nor the desire. I was too busy raising a kid.

Oh I wouldnt be surprised. I was just thinking that those who have been around longer, would have greater chance of experiencing dry spells simply because they've been around a longer.
