And how are you going to keep up with 99000 wives?

Your question uses the word "allowed". This presupposes that their is an authority that can grant the desire for extra wives. If the rich man is forced to abide by an authority than why grant him any wives at all? Instead the authority should take all his money so that poor guys can afford wives.

Mankind has played with polygamy many times through out History. It has never caught on for very long. Mostly it has been in vogue when women were considered property of their Husbands. Most enlightened societies decided polygamy was more problem than it was worth.

It creates problems. Very wealthy men can buy up many women, leaving the other men without any. And after they buy up the women their own age, they have to start buying younger women, even children. That's what you see with polygamous societies.

This view is that women are simply possessions that a rich man should have more of.

Since many rich men aren't faithful to begin with, wouldn't it make sense for them to just be honest & have multiple spouses instead of attempting & failing at monogamy.

Tiger Woods lost $750 Million USD in divorce court because he decided to marry a nanny when he could have had any woman in the world. Had he just played the field, he would've saved himself alot of trouble.

Should Rich men forego marriage & just have relationships with whomever they please without the constraints of monogamy?
Should have as many as their headaches can sustain.

Sure, why not...none of the other rules ever apply to them. They should also be allowed 1 murder per year.

But really, if any man can put up with more than 1 wife, more power to them, and it shouldn't matter if they are rich or poor.

Why the hell would anyone want more than one wife????

I'm not kidding here.

I love Mrs. Chow, but she can be a handful.
