Well like I said, most girls will be interested in a guy who can play guitar, and you want to accentuate the qualities you possess that the other sex will find attractive.

Sorry, but I have uncoditional love towards my liver! Cirrhosis is a serious disease which can lead to loss of liver function! I'll never drink! at least not anymore.

Yeah, a glass of red wine at dinner won't give you cirrhosis and may actually help your health. It's the people who become alcoholics or never stop acting like they're college freshmen even at age 30 who are most susceptible to it.
Sounds like you able to take advantage of both your situations. You said that you walk in the same direction for 5 minutes. What's to stop you from either stopping at your separation point or for you to walk in her direction in order to continue a conversation? You need to find a way to increase your time with her and the walk home seems to be your best option. You did say she lived near a mall, so if you can't think of a way to extend a conversation, just say you need to go buy something.
As to the guitar, is there a way you can use it at school, maybe for a presentation? It would give her something to talk about on your walk home. If she does ask about it, it would let you know that she does have some interest in what you do. Oh, if there's a guitar/music store at the mall, getting something for your guitar would be another way to bring it up.
