I know two couples where the woman is older than the man with that age difference. One has been married 33 years, the other 21. (And one couple happens to be in their 70's. They hardly notice three measly years anymore.)

It is when you are that age. It can seem that way at least...

But whether or not it's a big deal is up to the two of you, them, or whoever we are talking about now...

I technically went out with a guy four years younger than me (I had no idea what his intentions were) but from what I gathered we're just friends. He's a bit on the immature side and we don't have too much in common but he makes me laugh and we have fun together.

Then I work with a guy who has to be at least eight years younger than me and I swear to god he's more mature than me. So you never know, and as such can't really judge someone based on age alone.

Good point. I think if two people connect then age starts to NOT matter if it ever did. And it's possible for people across age spans to connect. For some reason I tend to attract really older or really younger guys (but never ever guys my own age ). I guess I'm just one of those multigenerational people that can fit in (or not? ) anywhere.

Sure it is! Age just matters less sometimes the older one gets. In one's 20s age might still matter, and for good reason (two people can be in different stages of life, etc.).

Yes exactly. Age does not = maturity and youth does not = immaturity.

Nah. That's just silly. Would you be asking the same silly question if she were 3 years younger than you?

Of course not, but some women do have an aversion to dating younger guys.
