Katie, having used on-line dating and spoken with people extensively about it....there is a lot of garbage on there. You need to have a positive attitude and look for the one right person instead of dwelling on the 99% that won't be right for you.
Honestly, the things you are mentioning are ridiculously minor from what you WILL eventually get if you keep doing on-line dating. (I've heard it all from some gals I've known or dated.) You will need a thicker skin, much thicker....wait until you get some 70yo guy wanting you do be his love muffin or emails that are basically "Hey wanna meet and F*ck?" or guys that show up to dates 15 years older than their picture or mentally ill? (My gf has has ALL of the above happen via online dating and I'm not listing them all.)
