Eh, it's still decent. It's not like some worthless hobby degree. Besides, they can't be outsourced like programmers.

BS... they outside desktop support all day....In my job I deal with IT guys all the time.
I agree, its not a BS degree like Political science or Liberal arts.
The market is glutted with IT people, jobs that used to pay 85k are down to 60......

The average starting salary for IS majors at my school last year was 59K... not too bad IMO.
IS/MIS is a bit different from IT.
