What is wrong with you? Attraction is tantamount to appetite. If it results in a pregnancy, it can hardly be called a perversion because it implies a biological basis for attraction. In Rome, 14 was considered martial age. A 14 year old girl can certainly be sexually attractive for this reason. Acting on it, or for that matter, many other attractions may indeed be considered a perversion. There are certain elements to my being that would find a house full of sex slaves rather arousing while also being morally offensive. Same thing happens at a restaurant when another has their food served first. My appetite would like theirs. Most men would respond to a given 14 year old girl given the provocation while the vast majority would not to a 10 year old. We can do what we like with this information such as just go with ala 16th century or perhaps another parent might like to keep this in mind with their teenage daughters and their male track coach(there are going to be a lot more "pedophiles" who like 14 year olds). This appetite is not unusual.
I think we can see a 14 year old paring off with 50 year olds en mass would be train wreck of a civilization. People once had an appetite for passenger pigeon. Had we a breeding pair among us now, I am sure they could be cooked into a tasty perversion, but unequivocally not the right thing to do with an appetite. Thankfully a few years older is a rather small margin of difference. Passenger pigeons probably tasted like chicken.
Why am I a pervert? I would be perverted if I said 12 or 10 or 8. That is sickening.
But if I go after 16 year old and they are mature and consenting. What is the big deal? I have rarely done this in the states, but in some European countries its perfectly fine and normal thing to do.
I do like a woman my equal. So JustJulia was wrong. Most women I have been with are/were my equals. Its not like they are not mature physically or mentally. People go through phases of intellectual curiosity that does not mean deep down they are any different than what they were at 16 or 30.

Those girls typically had adults involved in making those decisions. There was no legal ability or need since tribalism and extended family did this job. A 14 year old girl making this decision would fall under an experimental society. Since we now have nation states as legal guardians, they just tend to call it even at a somewhat older age given the lack of resources. Heck, people that wait until legal age still make babies that become a burden to the tax payer as it is.

I'll start I'm 33 and women early 20's
I'm 56 and I have always liked younger men.
I like the looks of men between 45 and 50 - they are still in pretty good shape and haven't started deteriorating too badly yet.
Of course, younger men than 45 are nice to look at, but I don't believe I would have much in common with them intellectually *or* physically, I'm afraid.
I'm 42 & my age of choice would be the mid 30's. Something about that age with men, love their confidence, still fun, spontaneous & yet not jaded like some of the older guys.
44 here, and I like guys basically between 39 and 48. It would be on a case by case basis if I were dating. I would take older if he were fit, well preserved, and active. And while I find younger guys physically attractive, they would have to be very mature for their age.
