This is the opposite to the “creepiest pickup” thread. My most memorable one, and the one I'll always remember because he was my first love, was when I was 13. The boy I had had a crush on for the longest time came to my house late at night during a thunderstorm (he had come running from his house), and, soaking wet, he got down on his knee and asked me to be his girlfriend. My parents really disliked him, and I, being that young, wasn’t allowed to have a boyfriend of course. My mom was about to catch him so I told him, “No…and leave.” He said he wouldn’t leave until I said yes, so I did. Our little romance only lasted a few days, we had to keep it a secret from everyone and ultimately I couldn’t continue hiding it so I ended it, and things turned nasty after that. But it was nice while it lasted .
I was in the gym and a man came up to me and said something along the lines of "you look like a butterfly." Normally I'd get pissed when people tried to flirt with me in public places. It wasn't really a pickup, but I remember it because it was unusual, and he also was apologetic about bothering me. Probably the nicest compliment from a stranger. He left me alone afterward, so I didn't really feel uncomfortable.
I was going to start talking about the time the neighborhood creep kissed me out of the blue, or the time a boy got gum stuck in my hair, or the days when my endearing pet names included "It, Jellyfish-killer," or "Benjamin Franklin" but I know when I'm beat...

Hahaha, those are cute too! Another cute one was when I was 8 and was getting off the school bus going home, this boy got up and told me he had to tell me something. I said, "What?". He said,"In your ear." So I put my ear and he kissed me on the cheek. I must have turned beet red...I was so embarrassed and ran off that bus. A boy on the bus yelled, "HA HA he kissed her!" My brothers were also there. Looking back, it was cute, but I was so embarrassed! And how could I also forget back in middle school when boys would send you little notes asking you out...good memories .
What a sad thread... I guess hardly any woman sees anything romantic past childhood.
That's true . I can't remember any romantic or original way a guy has recently picked me up. It's always the typical...they approach to ask you something, then it goes from there...
I give a lot of credit to guys who will randomly approach a girl in public...it takes a lot of guts. Even if it's unoriginal, it takes a lot of courage and that's attractive.
