Finding love on C-D (dating, married, women, single)

Hi all,

I am sorry if this is a well-worn topic but I am curious. Can you find love/relationship on C-D? From reading through some posts it seem to me there are a good number of single men and women on the forum.

So I would like to know whether anyone has found love here or why it is impossible or the reasons people are not interested etc. Or how one may go about it if someone seem interesting to you and you would like to know them better.......

I know C-D is not a dating site but a good number of people here are using dating sites so why not connect with someone on C-D, of course if you are a match.

Love can be found in the strangest places so I think it is entirely possible that some have found it here. Not knowing this for a fact but guessing from a degree of understanding how people think, I would expect they would spot someone's comments that click with the way they think. This would be followed by comments back and forth and mild flirting (Some also maintain a Profile and photo so that could key things).

Most of the more deeper conversations would happen in the privacy of the Direct Message area. Over time if the interest and background jell, I expect some would take the leap to actual meeting the other person. Not all that much different than a Dating Site except many of the people here are not deliberately seeking that type of interaction. Some, like myself, are here out of curiosity and simply a fascination with the human condition and are not seeking anything more.

I think the Founders of this site do not wish it to be a Hookup site though. That is a whole different atmosphere that could constrain normal relationship discussion.

Yes, it is possible. Rance and Hannah found each other on CD, dated, got engaged, and married. He lived in Alaska and she lived in Sweden when they first met, so not even geography could interfere with the true love they found via CD. Look up the thread. It is really our own little CD love story.
