so i found out that my fathers girlfriend hates black people. everything i hear about her enrages me, but i'm not going to get into anything with her. i will be staying with him for a few months to help him out. she will be there a couple days at a time, which i dont like, but i will just interact with her minimally. im not chatty with people who arent my friends. anyway, i think its time to make some black friends any suggestions in dealing w her? im not nasty w ppl, but im not fake nice ever.
Just be the better person.
She wont get it, but stooping to her level wont help either, you know?
i will try, but being the better person is not being fake also. so my choice is to interact with her very little without being to obvious about it. i did talk on the phone with her a while ago, and she yapped and yapped. it's convo i hear but don't listen to, if you know what i mean. how do i cut off unnecessary convo, without being rude. most polite people, who are around those they dont like, will greet them, then keep interaction to a minimum, from what iv'e observed.
no. but i would never willingly associate with someone who hates a group of people and is proud of it. she won't allow my father to have a black friend over while she's there. my father isnt racist but hes desperate.

Is it her house? If she doesn't own it, then she has no right to make rules about whom he can invite over.
Talk to your father (not her). Point out that she is dictating whom he can associate with based on her racist beliefs.
Ask him, if she would like it that if he dictated on whom she could see, or invite over.
There are far better people in the world, your father deserves better.
