Meh, that's a cop-out. Everyone's in charge of their own behavior. A woman at the gym should be able to wear the workout attire she prefers without feeling uncomfortable.
Ok so you'd go to a place dominated by men, and wear as tiny little clothing as you can possibly find in hopes nobody would notice you?
Right...
When I lived in Greenwich Village NYC, I used to train at NYSC.
Every single day, there was a model there.
Not a hot chick--A REAL LIFE MODEL.
There must have been 6 or 7 of em.
Most of em wore those tight tights.
EVERY SINGLE MAN IN THERE HAD A HEART ATTACK-a-CAK-CAK-CAK-CAK-CAK-CAK {billy joel song} EVERY SINGLE DAY !
Myself included.
Nothing hotter on earth that seeing a woman sweat.
I am not sure, guys - but looks like this thread is more about relationship than exercise/fitness.
I think I am going to move it there.
Eyeballing is not exercising
Seriously, hot chicks working out in tights is the best thing ever. Back in college, I fell off a treadmill once when the cheerleading team entered to do their practice. I totally caught their attention with my smoothness.
Time for you to move to Iran! Because there is no real other reason to wear... fitness attire!
I'm not the one complaining. I like what I see.
I'm just saying, if you wear clothes that put emphasis on your bodys shape in the company of body-shape interested people (men) you'd be an idiot for acting surprised if somebody happens to take a look.
There are many components to this. First of all, women are probably more sensitized to being oogled in the gym because (as previously stated) they are likely more scantily clad and more self-aware when working out. Secondly, you are in a place full of mirrors and between sets you having nothing to really focus on than other people...this works both ways, meaning, guys are more likely to have wandering eyes and girls are more likely to "catch" them (versus in the hustle/bustle of day to day outside life...where guys are still oogling, haha). And finally, the act of working out just makes people (especially guys) feel more confident, sexual and aggressive, thus more likely to initiate primal aspects of the brain which would lead to scooping girls out.
Asked a question, got a miriad of answers. Thanks.
