having active fulfilling sex is completely healthy. abstaining for healthy lifestyle cuz yer scared of big giant buddha in the sky is perverted and sick and should be frowned upon
Welcome to the free world that is the United States. If you base your morals on religion, so be it. If you want to sleep around like a man-*****, so be it. Some people judge you, some don't.
All I can tell is that you're completely ignorant of what goes on here, especially since you've never stated that you've ever lived, or even been here.
I don't think that infidelity is tolerated by the majority here in the states. I know that I don't tolerate it.

If you want to have sex with other people and don't want to be committed, then DON'T get married. Man, I question the mental state of some of you
posters. It's mind boggling at how ignorant some people are.
People have open marriages. We already have enough problems with people defining marriage with their own narrow minded morals, and that they seem to think are universally objective.

You told someone that their country was perverted and had strange beliefs. And it wasn't even their country. And you seem to think liberals are out to turn everyone into cheaters. This reminds me of the people that think gay people want to "turn everyone gay." Like I said - the cure for ignorance is knowledge.
But sadly liberal people think this is a good thing and want to liberate sex so much for us that it gets to the point where adultery is acceptable...

Liberals don't understand that if you want a stable society you have to reward people for hard work and good behavior. Things like no fault divorce, socialized healthcare, and the welfare system are destroying this country. That is why we have ever-increasing national debt, a low marriage rate, a high divorce rate, and almost half of all children borne out of wedlock. No modern society will sustain without monogamous marriage but all the laws they push have anti-family incentives.
Ok, but I know of specific situations in Italy where it's not as pretty.
ok. divorce however is never pretty. i have never in my life known anybody that went thru a divorce and felt they got a square deal but then again did they ever?
Adultery has been glorified though Hollywood and the media. I reckon nearly half of all American married couples commit infidelity or have open relationships. I don't hear about couples in other countries doing this but in America.
Is the USA the only country where married couples commit adultery and it's perfectly acceptable in American culture?

Oh lord, what do politics and socialised medicine have to do with this? It's a decline in morals, nothing more and nothing less. Both liberals and conservatives chest.
I'm french and I wouldn't say infidelity is accepted or expected here, more of something that CAN occur and not as something of a moral substance (in regards to sexuality), more as something having to do with endangering the family basis. The only true difference I see with the USA is that it's probably much less a cause for immediate divorce. People try to get over it, it's not the worst thing someone can do.
(well except for politicians, one or more lovers on the side is nearly expected from them, shows they're good at multitasking ;-) Thanks to Bill Maher, but actually quite true - We basically don't care if the spouses don't either, except for outrageous cases like DSK.)
