Romance for me is showing that you really know and understand me. one of the most romantic gifts I got? Someone got me an LP for one of my favorite albums, by my favorite band. And this album was also the one we listened to the day we met (and he included that comment in the note). It was romantic because:
a) he took the time to find it (this was not an easy find)
b) it was something that reminded him of me
c) it was personal

Another romantic gift? I got a hand drawn rose (in pencil) from an art-y guy. Lasts a lot longer than a flower -- I am strange, receiving flowers holds almost no appeal for me. This took longer than ordering some flowers or picking them up at the flowershop.

The man could get me to watch paint dry and be thankful.
I SO get that

(good for you!)

The most romantic thing I've ever had a guy do for me was get my flowers. Two days after my birthday because he forgot....we'd been together over 4 years at that point and my birthday is the easiest date ever to remember. I found out later that the flowers actually belonged to the HR woman at his work, but she was out on maternity leave so they were gonna go bad and he asked if he could have them haha.

I'd say the most romantic thing a guy could do for me is just honestly tell me his true feelings for me. And then follow through and continue feeling that way for at least a while, not just tell me how he feels and then disappear.

I suppose I'm pretty low maintenance in that way, no gifts, jewelry or anything fancy. Just having some honesty would be nice.

At my age, the most romantic thing a man can do for me is to leave me the h*ll alone.

That's romantic...? I would've fed the flowers to him.

I would have beaten him with the flowers, feeding him would take too long.

Sadly, yes. I guess I just don't attract 'romantic' guys.

About a year and a half afterwards. After he told me he was embarrassed to be seen with me in public.

Now that I look back on it, I was just overwhelmed that he had even thought to give me anything so I didn't think to get pissy about it. Now I look back and get kinda pissed off about it
