Yes, she should tell the boss. Let him handle it after that. The purpose is to protect the wife and children (even though it may have already been spread to the wife by now).
She should tell him and let him make the decision whether or not he tells his wife.
If he passed it along to her though, she'll find out eventually, either at her next OB appointment or when she is pregnant and goes in for that first appointment.
Unless it was rape... she made a choice to go bareback as well.
Let's not forget it takes two to tango.....
Did you not read the thread? This was in response to a poster who said she could be held legally liable for the husband and wifes infection.
It wasn't rape, at all...but I do wonder if the fact that he was her boss and had pushed her so long then sacked her, made her some sort of victim herself.
If she's legally obliged to report all her sex partners, then she should include the jerk, and let the jerk deal with the consequences of his actions.
Why didn't she go to Human Resources with a sexual harassment complaint when the harassment was ongoing? It might not be too late to tip off Human Resources to the problem. It might help future contractors who fill her position to start a paper trail.
How does she know what rumors are circulating? If she's privy to rumors, she may be in a position to warn the new girl.
Hell no. He fired her for no reason and used it shamelessly (though she consented---stupidly!) She should have filed sexual harassment charges against him. I'm sure most people here will tell you she has a 'moral obligation' to tell him, but I vigorously dissent. He's a swine who used her for sex and then cruelly dumped her.
Agreed. I do feel for his wife, though, if she happens to have a child with deformities or something because of this. What an as@hole!

C'mon! So far no departments are in our beds. When you "declare" something like this, you declare it "to the best of your knowledge"! Maybe you were soooo drunk or his pecker sooo small that to the best of your knowledge you didn't have sex!

They actually test for STD's at the first prenatal physical with a swab and bloodwork so if she caught it, they'd let her know shortly after that appointment and then treat her for it.
She still had friends working in the company which is how she found out about the new girl.
It was always one that really bothered me, my first instinct was to advise her to report him, my second was to say "**** him". I just felt that she owed him nothing.
