Maybe you don't hang around as many geeky guys with 'no life' and no success with dating.

Okay, maybe more the sex object thing still applies...but like

there are these guys who think women are Goddesses, that they're supernatural or something, that they live on another plane of existence where mere mortals cannot go.

I'm guessing these males haven't spent much time around females their own age either.

I think I know what you mean. These guys probably didn't grow up with sisters.

Yeah, we've had a couple of OP's who were completely incapable of talking to women.

But this is sort of a fringe phenomenon, isn't it?

More common than you think, you just don't see these guys cos they're hidden in their bedrooms playing WoW!

No, I'm not talking about myself! I prefer Final Fantasy, myself .

I don't like them totally quiet...very boring....but don't like the total obnoxious loud ones either. A happy medium.

Quiet, reserved, loud, outgoing...in my experience, has no correlation to having much worthwhile to say.

There are quiet people who have nothing to say and ARE boring.

There are loud people who just talk nonsense all the say and don't really say anything meaningful.

There are those of few words, or prefer deep one-on-one conversations but might as well be the furniture in social situations.

Lenard is my type. Knows a lot but doesn't boast about it. Says sarcastic comments a lot. Tries to figure things out and jokes.

The way he looks and his nasal voice is just TOO geeky...if I were a woman I wonder if I'd be attracted to him. The relationship with Penny doesn't make much sense. Although he's portrayed as the least geeky of the bunch, he actually seems the most geeky in his looks and mannerisms. While Sheldon is the most geeky, he actually don't really have a 'geek's face' if that makes sense.
