Hello? Harry? Where's Sally? Shouldn't you be making her a sandwich with mayo on the side or something?

If we're being completely honest here, this has been true for me almost all of the time. I'm trying to think of more than like one or two girls who I had as friends that I didnt have at least some slight romantic interest in.

Currently have two really close female friends, who I am also good friends with their long-term boyfriends. I value both of their friendships very much, but that might just be because I've gotten to know them so well, which I only wanted to do at first because I was attracted to them.

I highly value their friendship, and I am ok with things even if I never date them. One of them was at one point my best friend (guy or girl), and the other is just a very very close friend. But if either became single, I'd certainly look to advance the relationship.

Are you people ever going to quit digging up this dead horse? Men and Women CAN BE FRIENDS without any other motive but just to be FRIENDS. Cripes, grow up already, this is not 3rd grade and ADULTS who are mature generally act accordingly and treat their friends like friends.

Too broad a statement.

More like single men who don't have a lot of options that are friends with attractive girls, would be open to the idea of hooking up or dating that female friend if the opp presented itself.

You are so wrong you couldn't be wronger. You may be correct if you are talking about yourself but you don't speak for me, that's for sure. I'm happily married and completely true to my wife of 23 years. I probably have more female friends than male friends. I have no romantic or sexual interests in any of these ladies any more then I do with my male friends.
