NO no no!!! Armpit hair itself isn't smelly, it's the secretions of the skin pores in the armpit that produce the odor. Otherwise, the hair on your head would be smelly and you'd be wanting to shave that all off also. And there are no deodorant sprays for the tops of people's heads...
We don't urinate or have secretions coming out of our heads though. I'm not saying that women who don't trim/shave/wax down there are necessarily smellier, but I do think it's easier to keep clean with less hair down there.
Shaving or not shaving has nothing to do with an odor issue.
It has to do with either a hygiene issue or a medical issue.
Treat it like you are doing her a favor by telling her. You know she takes care of her appearance...so she would want to know. Often there is an infection of some kind causing an odor, if it isn't just plain lack of a good scrubbing daily....... You'd know her bathing habits if you are that involved...I'd hope. Regardess do her a lifelong favor...tell her, as tactfully as possible.
And, sometimes the worse thing you can do as a female is use those chemical fresheners and douches. Our body chemical is more acidic generally. Talk to a GYN and use a vinegar/water douche if your GYN says it is ok. These links discuss these issues... http://womenshealth.about.com/cs/azh...agdouching.htm http://womenshealth.gov/publications...t/douching.cfm

If you are otherwise really into her, I think I would just skip oral that time.
Then it depends on whether you have a hangup, where even the healthy musky odor and trimmed but present adult pubic hair is unacceptable. If so, you may be incompatible. But if this is a really bad odor, she could have BV. If it is sweat, then you'll have to get her to bathe shortly before sex.
I'm all about a little foreplay before the main course, but I ain't shavin' nothing on her.
But I'm not lookin' to shave shrubbery either, that action comes from the owner of the land.
My SO used to be my landscaper until he nicked it one day.... OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW I still shudder to think about it. He says it was my fault because we were drunk in a hotel and I should have known he was not of sound mind to do it. But still.... OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! I now do not contract out my own landscaping. Never again.

No kidding, Everyone should be responsible for they're own maintenance. I wouldn't trust a women with shears down there on me, and I wouldn't want to be responsible for nicking her. Doesn't apply if you are being proffesionally waxed though. Now that would be an odd job. Maybe Mike Rowe could do it on his Dirty Jobs Show

I think that one of the purposes of underarm and pubic arm is to help prevent chafing. It helps to keep the skin surfaces from getting tacky from sweat and then causing rubbing and sores. And having hair keeps the skin pores open. And sweat is natural. Clogged skin pores lead to bacteria getting trapped and causing skin issues like blackheads.
I dunno, I like to keep my body more like nature intended. But it's all good as long as you find a partner who has similar hygiene methods. For instance, I don't like my men to be shaven all over. Just being clean-shaven on their faces and taking daily showers is fine with me.
Ladies, suppose you were unshaven and had an odor issue. How would you want the guy to phrase it? What would be the most polite way of saying it to you?
What is so "painful" about an odor issue?
The OP is likening this to infections and other problems that can occur in uncircumcised men?? (per the other thread on a parallel topic)

Maybe it's "painful" to be subjected to the odor. lol
ahahahhaaaa! Two threads on stinky pvt privates!! SMH
I don't think there's NO polite way of telling anyone their pvt part exudes a foul odor!
What a kill-joy this would be! People need to be more conscious about their hygiene; DEAL BREAKER!
I would hope a women would tell me so I could correct the issue if there was one. I have brought it up in most all relationships I have been in at one time or another "Am I clean enough". If you put in on yourself she's not as likely to take it the wrong way. Answer had always been "you are very clean relative to most men". I know I'm doing my part.
