If you guys only knew how many medical professionals I knew who said they would smoke if they didn't get tested you guys would freak out. I'm not just talking nurses. I'm talking doctors. I have one doctor joking he's moving his practice to Colorado. I told him he can't because he's one of my favorite doctors.
Doctors are just as stupid and susceptible to groupthink and boneheaded ideas as people in any other line of work. They are also susceptible to politicization ... especially people who wear the "liberal" or "conservative" labels on their sleeve.
One doctor chick I know (very attractive) decided she was never going to get married after her last relationship broke up and went to the sperm bank for some instant babies. To me this is so disgusting on so many different levels, I can't even put it in words. But it's her life ...
My point really is that just because someone is smart at doctoring, doesn't mean they are smart at making life decisions.
I don't really want to be around it because it is illegal. Were it legal I would have no problems with weed smoking. In fact I would probably smoke.
With that said I would not date a heavy smoker, because almost all the heavy smokers I know of are straight up unmotivated and unproductive. I don't think they would be that way if they did not smoke.
I wouldn't hang out with anyone who smokes anything, let alone date them. If you want to smoke weed, that's fine I don't want anything to do with you. You stink, you think you can get rid of the smell but you can't.
This is the problem with all these "studies". None of them can reach any meaningful consensus and alot of them receive biased funding from interest groups. One says it'll help cancer and the other says it causes it. So I'll remain skeptical of any evidence unless the overwhelming majority of scientists agree on one study.

They must be complete idiots. I don't know how ANY medical professional could do that to their body.

Doctors are people, and they have their vices.
I know a heart surgeon who loves his big old cigars. He of course knows very clearly what they do to your body and particularly your heart, but he still smokes.
not really, but then again, i haven't really tried to enter the dating scene for the last few years.
i don't smoke every day or even year round. during the summers and holiday season is when i partake in the activity. even then, i limit it to 2-3 days a week. not a big deal to me.
i only smoke cigarettes when i drink a fair amount. it might come out to a pack of cigarettes a year. yes, i am a moderate drinker. if women see that as a turn-off, then tough. i am what i am. as long as i don't get abusive/annoying, i don't see what the problem is. some women's standards are too high.
i find it amusing that everyone is saying weed is a gateway drug and causes cancer. there is no way that the negative health effects of weed compare to that of cigarettes or even alcohol. it's just conservative propaganda to uphold the agenda of keeping weed illegal. they are slowly but surely losing this war. it's about frickin time after 75 years.
