because you have clearly painted "Christians" and "Republicans" as one and the same; as those impassioned people standing in front of PP waving signs, trying to save souls.
No it isn't. Leftists are the most intolerant people around. Their tactics are just like those of the communists. They can't win you over to their side, so they use brutish tactics try to force conformity and if you don't, they censor and try to shut you up. They are dangerous, miserable people. Right-wingers weren't the ones destroying Seattle and Pittsburgh during the G8 conferences. Anybody is smart to want nothing to do with most of them.

great post!
Although, some kind of censorship is necessary if you want to communicate with SMART people here again.

I know there are always exceptions to the rules, I am only talking about the majority of the cases.
Let's say I am a registered Republican (and I am) I WILL never shove my political views down to anybody's throat. I am not an agenda pusher and I am not into great debates.
However, Let's say my date is an extreme Liberal Democrate, and he has very different political views, what is the likelihood for this relationship to work?
In theory, as long as two people are respectful towards each other, things can work out, but in practice, what is the outcome for this couple?
If your question is whether it's theoretically possible, the answer is Yes. If you're asking whether it's likely/practical/recommended, the answer is a resounding No.
If you're a conservative (R), I don't like your chances with someone who supports the Obama administration's agenda or that of the California state legislature. You're talking outlook on life/world view type issues at that stage, not (D) or (R) after the final letter in a person's surname.
