When guys talk they often say they would "wife" her or she is my future "wifey". Could someone explain what qualities a woman must have to be the "wifey type"?
I'm assuming that is different for everyone. Oddly enough, a lot of men I have dated have thought I was "wifey material" even though I strongly oppose marriage. Go figure.
It could mean something different to every individual man.
In general, I would presume that it would be a woman who is mature in thought and action, who shares similar life plans, directions, and goals as the man saying this.
However, I also suspect that presuming such a thing may be giving too much credit to what is going through the minds of some men who say this.
I dunno. I knew my wife was worth marrying not because I was "in love" with her, but because we were compatable with each other on so many levels, we are best friends, find we can have great conversation on anything, have a deep attraction for each other, completely trust one another, have a commitment to work through issues for the betterment of both, are committed to each other in general, shared life goals, life plans, and were heading in a similar direction in life, and probably far more...
Usually they are women who have a good head on their shoulders. Can balance out home, work, kids, etc.
Or take over where their mom's left off. Taking care of their big kid, (husband)

Any guy who still talks like that is probably still really immature.
