Church a good place to find a wife?

It depends... ... is that where you lost her?

My good friend met her husband in church. They're both gorgeous, good people and just had a sweet little baby. They're a lucky couple!

Most so-called "relevant churches" I have had experience with, living here in the buckle of the Bible belt, truly verge on being cults because they are very personality-driven. There, the minister is the head of the church, not Jesus, so you have to watch out who you really are worshipping.

It's great to search for the right place for you; just beware while you are seeking.

I know I'm not the only one who's thought of it like this. See: the movie "Dogma", especially the scene where she calls the church her "Catholic social club" or something like that

Outside of the church, it seems like it would be hard to meet someone who is otherwise traditional/conservative and takes marriage and child rearing seriously. Seems like the other kind of person in my generation are the hipsters who go out drinking till 2 AM. May seem like a simplistic exaggurated dichotomy but I fear it may be more apt than any of us would like to believe.
Plus many of them don't follow the church's teachings on not having sex before marriage, etc.....

With a percentage, a social club with the potential "badness" ready afterwards.

This past weekend at my church they had a special collection which was going to be collected right after communion, what do you think happened?

For finding a wife, not really any better or worse than other venues.

People go to church to "pray" then knowfully and willingly sin right afterwards.

I guess I would assume that church would be a nice place to meet someone if you were both there because you wanted to go to church. It seems odd to me to go to church with the sole intent to find a wife. Then again, I'm an atheist breeder - what the hell do I know!

This past weekend it was a much higher percentage though.

How do you know about Cadillacs ooooops I mean Catholics?

If anything the early skippers are already eliminated for potential wife material.
