She corrected that in post #469.

He was driving without insurance. That will be a separate charge.

What a mess!

Career?

You previously said he has a pet supply store, and his mother helps him in this store.

And wasn't this first his parents store which he is now running because his father died, and the mother is now old. Correct?

You consider that a "career"?

And how does he lose the ability to run a store which belongs to him (and/or belongs to his mother)?

He was driving without insurance.
Ok, thanks, I missed that correction.

But having a huge insurance obligation, not to mention all the fines the court will levy on him, as well as the cost of rehab and/or counseling, is sooooo much better than hooking up with a responsible father who has kids.

Oh, well. IDDY will get the guy she deserves, and whether or not it ends up being Taco Man, it makes my heart happy that no kids will ever have the bad luck of having her for a stepmother.

So if he had any previous DUI's ... his insurance may have been too expensive to afford?
This is what I was thinking.

Why would he lose his career? His family owns the store. Or would it be because he couldn't get to work and TacoMom will fire him? Maybe IDDY could drive him back and forth to work 6 days a week and on all of his business and personal errands. Much less annoying than having to visit with a stepchild every other weekend.

If he keeps driving drunk, and gets in an accident, he could very well lose the business - if it's in his name (maybe Taco Mom is smart enough to have kept it in her name).

If IDDY marries him and they combine their assets and he continues to drive drunk and gets into an accident, she could lose everything she has worked for (if she has anything - I don't know).

Normal, sane, together people don't stoop to dating rampant losers.
Rehab is a good thing for him as he has problems. No I don't want him in prison I want him in rehab.

It can't hurt and I think it's likely he will be forced to go but often it does not work.

He likely escaped jail since this was his first time and he was lucky that he didn't hurt or kill someone.
