Every time I see a mismatched couple (I.e. a couple where the two members do not look like they are going to the same place) I end up giggling to myself.
On the way to the train today I saw a couple the man had on a concert tee, jeans and sneakers. The woman had on a church appropriate maxi dress and heels.
Another time I saw a couple where the man was in a 3 piece suit and wingtips, and the woman had on a hoodie, cutoff daisy dukes, doc martens and holey tights.

Not amused, I just think exactly what you wrote, they're going to different places at that moment. Happens all the time. Someone is taking someone to the airport at 5AM, one person will be dressed up, the other in sweats. One person on their way to the gym, the other person just got back from the office.
Running different kinds of errands together.

That doesn't seem that bad. Many women wear dresses casually.

I would be kind of amused if I saw that.
So yes I do get amused by mismatched couples, but only if they are really mismatched.
Last week I met up for a late dinner with the guy I'm seeing and I was wearing cut off shorts and a Dr. Who tshirt with my ratty pink converse and he since he came straight from a business meeting with a new client he was in nice slacks, button up shirt and a tie. I'm sure we looked like complete weirdos together but it was just circumstances that led us to look so mismatched.
I'm a huge fan of weird juxtaposition though, so it was pretty funny to me.
I love seeing this. I imagine that they are having some hot sex.
