My generation put tattoos in the "it's cool to have" category.

Kind've wish I was born in a different era, since I can't stand the sight of a tattoo on anyone, and I don't want you to show them off to me lol.

I'm not sure how it goes in other places but Richmond probably has more than half population with tattoos. Even if it doesn't seem so at first, lots of people have tattoos hidden under their clothes.
I might be biased though and it's possibly subjective, but that's at least how I saw population of people under 35, and yes, this includes both men and women. People with tattoos will be more approving when it comes to tattoos than those who don't have any, this means that the more people have tattoos the more "acceptable" tattoos are when it comes to dating.

It's a good thing your opinions have no bearing at all in me 'showing off' my tattoos.

I'm torn on this...

I don't have any tattoos, and have never been interested in getting them. On a man, I'm not sure how I feel. I prefer to date men who don't have tattoos, but if a guy had one or two tasteful tattoos, it certainly wouldn't be a deal-breaker .

Case in Point:

Mod Cut: Copyright

(*Disclaimer: Okay, so Tyson and David are more of the exception, rather than the rule...Their looks give them an automatic "Pass" )

It just comes off as elitist and stuck up. It's one thing to say 'I'm not a fan of tattoos' and a different one to say 'I can't stand the sight of them and I don't want you to show them off'.
