Why are you people so harsh? Trust me, there is nothing smarter or better about any one of you.
I couldn't agree more. I started this thread as respectfully as I possibly could and suggested using humor but there always has to be someone with an attitude no matter how nice you try to be. But oh well. Back to the subject I just obtained a seco.d man cave which will be a hybrid of my current man cave and the other interesta I have hopefully it will workout
Hey it is not written in stone that ladies are not allowed into the man cave. As the owner and operator of the man cave I reserve the right to make exceptions as I see fit, for example if this girl shows up I simply just can't turn her away. It is my responsibility to grant her access, heck I would be more than happy to give her a tour of the man cave.
That is too funny.
My impression has been that if a man is single, his entire place operates under these rules. When a man lives with a woman, that's when he gets a man cave.
I have no problems with man caves and even encourage them, and would feel bad if it's in the garage (unless HE wants it there). As I posted before, my ex husband had one. He was always in there and I would join him, and most of those rules applied, but every now and then I'd get a little bored and leave. If I stayed away too long, he would get lonely and seek me out. If he found that I was doing something girly, he would offer to let me do it in his man cave with him. I didn't do that too much though. Girly man cave is a no-no.

I have three man caves in two homes. My best work, has 11 screens in one room. A fridge/freezer. Leather seats. A flash stereo and speakers. Pure bliss.
Privileged women have entered

I don't know why the term or concept upsets a few people. I don't know if it's this way for other women (I suspect it is), but in my home he has his den, which I jokingly refer to as the man cave, and I have the rest of the house. I chose the China, the light fixtures, the carpeting, etc. It's my call. His lava lamps go in his den. His decks are in his den. His 50 million wires running to and fro are in his den. At the very least he should have the call in one room.
Forget the man cave, I prefer he have an entire separate home from mine in which to partake in any man-related activities his heart desires.
