Yet that gets touted as an option by some of the posters here.

Back when i was dating I prefer women tell me sorry I'm not interested. I would respect you more if you said that rather than the trying to be nice and not hurt my ego. I guess I don't have a fragile ego. I won't consider you a bee.

You must be in the wrong meetup groups then. I think meetup is one of the best ways to make new friends. Its a lot better than dating sites.

Tell them you have a boyfriend. That immediately takes absolves you of being responsible for their feelings.

Here's something you might try. Do you recall the character Janice from the show "Friends"? She had a very obnoxious laugh. How about "The Nanny"? Also an obnoxious laugh. Next time you want to make a guy lose interest real quick just bust out an obnoxious laugh like that and I mean really ham it up. The guy will be so embarrassed he should slink away.

OP, after you have politely declined a time or two, you are authorized to stop caring about their feelings or what they think of you.

I have to clarify this. The decline must be very clear. Men are generally lousy at reading minds. "No thank you. I am not interested" is a decline. "I have to talk to some one else now" is too ambiguous and you can't be offended if the guy comes back as soon as he sees you are no longer speaking to some one else.

I've been known to hurt a man who manhandles me without my permission, but that can be risky for a woman if she is not trained. The man might retaliate and you must be able to deal with his reaction to being hurt, if his reaction happens to be violent.

At no club I have even been to, would a drunk be allowed to grab women and verbally assault them. The bouncer would have frog marched him right out the door and he would have been banned from the club for life. So again, I suspect you are hanging out in the wrong places.

Some women confuse being flirty and being friendly then wonder why some guys don't get the hint, even the shyest of the shy.

This is true also. But this occurs way less often than my examples.

you and me both , I went out with a woman recently who I really liked , I asked her if she wanted to see me again , she said yes

two weeks later she says all she can offer me is her friendship , ive been " friendzoned"

I think women enjoy being unclear with men
