I'm 62 and stayed out all night last week with my gf. Watched the sunrise over the mountains in the morning. Only as old as you feel.
Exactly! I am 52 and have a great groups of friends who go out dancing together at least once a month. coming in at 2 or 3 am. Sometimes we spend the night at each others' houses so we don't have to drive home when we are tired. Alcohol is not necessary, not all of us drink. This past week I was at the beach with other friends and we saw the sunrise a few times. We are all in our early to late 50s.
Now that is not to say I have done this regularly for 30 years...there was a time in my 30s and 40s when I had young kids at home and couldn't keep my eyes open after 9 pm.

Or worse, when staying out late affects you the second day after.
This made me laugh, it's exactly how I feel. I am 49 and still go out to bars and pubs downtown but I really like to see my bed before midnight. Occasionally when it gets really late I feel it for days, totally not worth it.
I also can't really drink whiskey anymore Oh sure I can drink one or two but if I drink more then that I will feel super lousy the next day. Never had this problem before and also don't have this problem when I'm drinking wine.
I'm pretty sure you guys stayed out all night when you were in college or high school. Most probably with friends or with somebody of the opposite sex. So when are you officially too old for this? Whether it's with friends or with the opposite sex? At what age does it get boring or just start to look weird?
Honestly, for me, it wasn't a matter of looking silly or getting bored. It was just a matter of my body saying, "No more! I need sleep!" That happened in my late 30s (I am now 44).
