From time to time I will hear women complain about bad places to meet men (like bars). And I've known a LOT of women who have divorced because the guy was a "bum", etc.
But I know a few people who are happily married and the husband is a "good guy".
So if you have a "good guy" husband, where did you meet him?
Note: I recently "audited" (just watched) a court ordered class for divorced fathers who are not paying their child support. I told the lady giving the class she could write a book on men to avoid for marriage - anyway I think the opposite advice would be more helpful.
My husband is a good guy. We did share a social circle, but peripherally. The way we got to know each other is that he worked near by where I worked. I was a street artist and he would pass by my spot on his way to work or when his shift was finished. He bought one of my paintings. He began to stop and visit me with frequency and eventually we started having drinks together after work (late night).

I went to a bar and there was this girl I knew, sort of, so I ask her "What would I need to know about you, outside of this context?". She told me to "stop playing mind games".
My point was that I'd like to get to know her, but not in that setting. But, I bet she thought all I wanted was to hit.
So yeah, very interested in were the good guys go to find their partners. Bars suck. Clubs as well.
