Ive seen it time and again... people stay in less than ideal and unhappy situations for far too llog whether it is a marriage or just dating... why do people do it? Even when there are red flags all over the place they are blind to it and continue with the relationship thinking it will all work out!!
I know there could be many reasons but what do you think is the #1 reason why people stay in situations that they are less than totally happy with.

Those are the smart ones. Lots of not so smart people out there.
Can't see the forest for the trees...people usually don't realize exactly how bad it is or how unhappy they are finally have time away from the situation.
