If you ever come to southern California, I will introduce you to lot of Marines. They are really very cool to hang out with. They will definitely like you because you are very smart and sweet, Not those bi*ch ass women. haha

Thank you. You're too kind. I go down there all the time. I grew up there and my family is there (LA).

Wellll... When my ex-hub saw those Serbs with their meat-grinders, he was in the Guard. His Army time was pretty easy, in Germany, whereas when the cop I dated was in the Army (years before I met him), he jumped into Panama. Marine in Hawaii stayed stateside during the Gulf War while 9 out of 10 there were deployed. Friend who is in combat rescue is in the Air Force. It really depends on your MOS and what the need is at any given time.

(There's an entire presidential administration I'd like to see tried for treason and war crimes.) So I'd like to say I'd respect a son or daughter's decision to sign up, but I'd probably be worried sick should they deploy, and I'd question why they wanted to do it at this particular moment in history.
I am very pro military, and Marine Corps has been my second home. I always say that these combat military men know the cost of war, in trauma, in friends lost, in good intention gone bad, in good lives ruined.. But The truth is if our nation is facing real danger, my brother will go back to Marine Corps in a heart beat. Once a Marine, always a Marine. If he dies, well, he will die a happy Marine. I am well trained to think this way. =)

I have three nephews, two of them wanted to join the Marine Corps lol They are only five years old. Only brave men will join the Military, and I really hope these brave men have amazing women to love them. =) They definitely deserve it.

Interesting. I often find these types very unattractive. They usually strike me as being anti-intellectual, possessing a silly bravado, and being power trips much of the time.
I'm also revolted by someone being willing to kill as a JOB. I think a brave person has more integrity than that & doesn't hide behind badges & uniforms.

But hey, there's someone for everyone.

The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.
