Oh, fun thread I love fun threads! I'll try to keep my choices to things most people might know.

* Lance Sweets from the TV show Bones
* Geordi LaForge from Star Trek the Next Generation
* Rory from Doctor Who (although that would only be if Amy wasn't in the picture, he's dedicated to her).
* Athelstan from the TV show Vikings (but I think he's back to being a priest again... so it would be him as a pagan).
* Sayid Jarrah from Lost (at least the one I knew from the first two seasons... I kind of stopped watching that show).
* Oh, almost forgot... Inigo Montoya from Princess Bride.

EDIT. You know, the things all have in common when I see the names listed. All are very intelligent, kind, supportive, curious, and are dedicated to their friends, family and loved ones.

Hands down Jacob the werewolf from the Twilight series. (And I'm old!) I like the idea of having someone that loyal and funny and sweet and protective.

Dr. Avery or Dr. Shepherd of Grey's Anatomy

And my teenage self would've wanted to move to Capeside and date Dawson Leery of Dawson's Creek.

Because I was an English major, Mr. Darcy (with Captain Wentworth a close second.)

Realistically, more like Ben Wyatt from Parks and Rec.
