You will first and foremost have to let go of your old feelings. Not easy. But only after that will you find peace. If you feel the girl you made out with also has the same strong feeling for you then work on that. If not then start afresh. There are many other possibilities but they wouldn't materialize unless you choose to open your mind to them.
