Maybe she's trying to help you? What is the pic like, are you far away, wearing hat and sunglasses? I wanted to write a guy once to help him, his picture looked like a serial killer's mug shot because of the expression on his face. It is possible she's trying to give you helpful advice.
I never said she wasn't rude in how she went about it, but OP is asking what she might be motivated by. Also it really is to tell context in e-mail as we can't hear tone of voice. It's possible it came out wrong in print.

IMO she was being insensitive even if she were right.

Maybe I might look like a scrub to her but she isn't the type who was in my focus when I put the pic up. I'm a plain dressed kind of guy, I like the casual ladies, the ones in house dresses, the down to earth type who may have a weight problem or be scrawny but not the fancy sleek types......Just to illustrate, if I'm January then she's July. that far away, if I'm England then she's Japan or if I'm New Hampshire say then she's Arizona...........If I'm a Toyota, she's a Mercedes.
She appears to be a very attractive small woman, wise "guy" droll or deadpan expression, in shape, very well dressed with a stylish flair in her rakishly tilted hat, very intelligent and a professional but she's been on the same single forums for years, her pictures don't seem to age much or change, obviously she's not getting what she wants from OLD unless she's a player looking for quick anonymous dates which I doubt.

I remember she had sent me a similar unasked for and insulting message last year and she had rejected a msg from me about two years ago. I had moved on and never bothered with her, I doubt she remembered me as I lost a lot of weight and my picture changed.
