This is a red flag for me. It often means you can count on LOTS of text messages, including the passive-aggressive "why aren't you talking to me fast enough" texts.

She may not have been serious or maybe not very interested, dating in a digital world has changed a lot of things, first encounters are not face to face and etiquette is much different. I met my wife in 1984 and we went on our first date a week later on the first day both of us were free.

Move on to the next one. This ones a faker. A text talker perpetually out of reality. A woman who wants to spend time with a man, says yes lets go there, no problem.

Dont pay thisgirl any more attention.

The red flag is the comment about being so reluctant to talk on the phone, even with relatives. It's peculiar when someone is texting you w/ some frequency and then backs off when you try to talk on the phone or meet in person.

As for your OP, there is no hard and fast rule for when you should ask someone out. Two weeks is quite a while for texting, so it certainly wouldn't be too soon (not sure that anything is too soon; after all, it's just an initial date).

I agree with your decision to back off here. There's no real rhyme or reason that explains why people (usually women) act this way. It's very childish and annoying, so there's no reason for you to mimic this behavior out of spite.

Lol I did the exact same thing and just decided to be happy while single. Started having fun with my friends and doing stuff I like. Met the girl I'm seeing about a month after. Lol

My experience was so frustrating, it made me change the way I go about dating and it's worked for the better. I'd tell you how I do it, but I really don't know if it's good advice or not, I just got fed up and started doing it my way. Lol
