Most people believe any woman can be a rockstar in the bedroom with the right man. That if a woman is "bad" it's because she's bored and the guy she's with simply isn't inspiring her emotionally/physically. We've seen countless stories of women going from a dead fish to a porn star from one man to the next, either her lover on the side or new boyfriend.
I can't even imagine what someone would have to do in order to be bad in bed.
I guess there's always the off-chance that someone thought as much of me and simply didn't tell me, but sex doesn't seem complicated enough for someone to have absolutely no clue what they're doing.
The only time I've ever had bad sex or gotten the impression I was disappointing someone is when I was way wayyyy too drunk or not completely attracted to someone (but went for it anyways).
Many of us will have our own definitions of what being "bad in bed" means to us. To me, a man is "bad in bed" if he is only interested in getting off (and as quickly as possible) and little interest in giving me what I like or want.
To me, what makes a man GREAT in bed is being a good kisser, with plenty of that beforehand, great massage technique, good oral, and making sure I get pleasured first! A man like that I will do anything for!

I don't think either statement is true.
A guy can improve if he knows what the problem is, unless it's a physical limitation that's unfixable.
Just as a woman who is just a frigid prude will probably never change no matter who she is with.

For a woman to be bad in bed:
-no enthusiasm
-no interest in the first place
-grossed out by everything
-responds like a corpse
-doesn't even know what she likes, so how are you supposed to know?
-prudish
-afraid to show you her naked body (image issues)
-lousy kisser (the two go hand in hand usually)
-can't or won't communicate what she needs and desires (or just doesn't even know)

What makes a woman bad in bed is she only WANTS me to get off (and get off HER) ASAP. She doesn't LIKE to kiss. Doesn't want me to try to get her off, and doesn't even know what does get her off.

Here's the thing.
For some women, no, it's not.
But guess what? YOU want to have sex, right? If she doesn't care you suck in bed, she isn't going to want to have sex with you much at all, because it usually means sex just isn't important to her at all.

He did nothing for me, laid there waiting to be serviced, made no effort, was small and fast, etc etc ETC
The only reason I stayed as long as I could was because I was in such denial. I mean, I started thinking it was a joke or something. Then, I rationalized that all this time I was putting in was gonna pay off one day.
