I agree. Developing people skills and learning about different personality types is way more useful than dating "rules".

Love is heart affair, follow the heart of course! Rules are meant to be broken, first learn the rules, then break them.

I would say...guys either find a good non-nonsense dating ettiquette guide, weighted heavily towards tradition, then add your common sense and own good home training to the mix, you should do fine. Either that or enlist the help of a man around your own age, who is having success with dating, relationships and marriage, and see what he has to say about things. I suppose that would be getting a mentor.
