Look, when you first fall in love everything is intense and romantic. People express their feelings based on the moment, not on any practical ideal. Those were powerful brain chemicals flowing through your bodies, not a magical prediction of "happily ever after."

It was summer love, sweetie, not the real thing.

I'm sorry you're hurting. It will be okay.

From your post I think it is very clear where you two stand. He does not seem to be interested in communicating with you. Even adults have a very difficult time sustaining a long distance relationship, particularly when they've never lived in the same place. Your relationship, while sweet, was unlikely to work out due to the distance. Particularly at your age, you need to be able to spend time face-to-face with someone you're dating. Technology is wonderful, but it doesn't replace the real thing.

I can guarantee you that there will be another love for you. It's worth holding out for someone "geographically desirable," however.
