Is it not the same for many men? Looks are top priority? Obviously there's a range, but most people want a partner they're attracted to. This isn't exclusive to women. And what is this thing about height? Are you implying most women have a preference or strict criteria?
Threads about height are not allowed on the Relationship part of this forum.

Yes, but women try to make it seem like they don't value looks, when it is the most important thing.

They are good for digging fence holes and carrying furniture.
Uh, sorry, that's all I can think of...
And this comment won't raise a single eyebrow, because, you know, man-hating is justified in our f'ed up "modern" society under a cloak of righteous feminism.
That said, carry on with your no-so-subtle bigotry...
It's funny how men will look for an attribute, maybe multiple attributes (usually physical), and run with it. they figure "eh, she's a pretty girl, got a nice body, I can make this work", and females, they're much more methodical (this rule tends to scale on par with a female's self-esteem).
Definitely methodical, but not in the way you suggest.

Females will look for a total package -- Is he attractive, does he have a decent set of wheels and a good job, does he own a respectable home, is he respectful and charming -- Can I bring this guy home to my parents?
Yeah... not quite. You're right about attractiveness being a factor, but everything else varies from woman to woman.

Ironically, many times, a female will have a set criteria that they, themselves, do not even possess. Women are so much more picky than men...
Definitely selective. And the men I dated more seriously were also very selective, desiring more than looks. Looks were the main factor when I dated casually. He needed to be intelligent, but we didn't need to be a compatible match across other areas.

What women are you talking about? It might help to qualify your statements. It isn't women as a whole, but some women. No, not all women care about looks, because most people in general tend to date others of similar attractiveness. I can look at my FB friends list and see the vast majority of couples are about equal in looks. The really attractive women typically have really attractive husbands, and the average-looking women have average-looking husbands. So that suggests each woman seeks a man she herself finds attractive.
Many of you make it seem like women, let's say an average woman, wants the 8-10 man. In reality she ends up with an average-looking man. Certainly not all attractive women seek/date/marry really attractive men. I have a couple friends who are gorgeous women. Both are tall, blonde, thin (one is a fitness model), and both are married to what many may consider average-looking men. The fitness model is married to a very, very big man. Think John Goodman. Some of my other attractive friends are also married to men with fairly average looks.
What I rarely see is a very attractive man with an average-looking woman. So, what does that say? That attractive men only go for looks? Well, it says that like likes like. Attractive people date/marry other attractive people.

Strict critera: "Taller than me"
I'm 5'9'.5". I've dated roughly seven men taller than 5'11". The vast majority have been my height or slightly taller. Some were 5'8".
