Why should she back off since you didn't? Why should she be worried about your feelings since you didn't?
Why should she worry about how it effects you psychologically , when you didn't?

Poor thing, you may get angry for following through on something that you promised.
At the very least she will know never to trust you to actually keep your word without holding it against her.
