I prefer to date someone who is chubby or obese. ( go ahead and laugh, real funny)
Anyway, I have this hangup where I cannot date a chubby person who hates being chubby. I feel like this severely limits my dating pool. Is it me or is it really rare to find a chubby man or woman who doesn't hate themselves for being overweight? I know they exist but it seems like I rarely run across them and rarely are they interested in me. I guess I really shouldn't expect anyone to like being chubby but it bothers me when someone has self-esteem issues because my ex took all of his self esteem issues out on me and made fun of me for being attracted to chubby. I have gotten crap about it from other people I have dated as well.

For those of you who prefer a big man or woman, would you stop dating them if you found out they hated the way they look?

I don't hate myself for being chubby. I do get annoyed when someone dwells on liking it. I have high self-esteem. You either think I am attractive ir not, but you don't have to say stuff like "I think you are attractive because you are chubby." Then it feels like you are being fetishized.

But our society looks down on people who have high self-esteem and eschew mainstream beauty rules in all forms.
