Great. Now for some reason "The Rose" by Bette Midler is on rotation in my head.

I think there has been some weird grinding down of culture going on for a few decades now.

Just flipping on any sit com now and you see some kid mouthing off to dad and making smart azzed comments and the laugh track blasts away telling you that that was supposed to be funny.

LOL, I know I couldn't talk to my parents the way you see so many kids in TV shows and movies do now. Another thing that sort of annoys me a bit is how "dad" is always the buffoon and the butt of jokes now. Not only is it not really funny it's just tired, see it so often.

I guess I need to go back to the food network I suppose.

Hi Chow, an old thread brought me back over to the relationship section. Reading you comment above, I was thinking about this just the other day. Very disappointing how rampant this is. The uncalled for mouthing off to moms, dads and elders in general

On another note, I'm not a huge Cube fan either, but over the years there have been a few hilarious movies which featured him; early Friday movie was one of them and few later year movies including the Jump Street series.

Before I leave, want to say hi to all my old time compadres.

Hey there Sea, always a pleasure. Yep that original, still hilarious some crazy character in that movie, quite a few who went on to decent careers for a time.

Sometimes it feels like we're drowning in crap anymore, at least to me so it's nice when you hear about these kinds of stories, reminds us that there are still lots of good decent people out there. I know that there are but you know what I mean sometimes.
