I noticed that he started sitting next to me at the bus stop (though never on the bus oddly) and I finally struck up a conversation with him. An elderly lady left a package next to him on the bench and I cracked a joke about her looking like a terrorist (always count on my looks and sense of humor). The ensuing conversation was brief as my connector bus showed up (I take a different connection than him) and I had to run.
He seemed receptive and asked me where I was from, etc. Don't know if it will go anywhere or in what direction (and I have no expecations), however it felt good to finally break out of my shell a little and get a positive response! Thanks to those that replied and gave me some votes of confidence. It was a helpful "push".
It's funny, but as a gay man I can be so trepadacios about approaching guys (whether I find them attractive or not) when I don't know if they are gay or not.
I usually never flirt with guys that I am not sure are bi or gay.
I am cool with being friendly but not "Flirtatious friendly".
That is what gay dance clubs, bars, piano bars, gay websites, gay coffee houses, organizations, and the theater is for!
Ha! Definitely try not to flirt if I don't know a guy's orientation. I can't tell with this guy as I don't even know his name yet (I just call him the "Hot Foreign Guy"), but yeah, I'm hoping he is and I think he might be based on the eye contact I received when he first started riding my bus.
In my city things are kind of wierd. First, "respectable" gays don't go to the gay bars (they're hook-up joints or drug dens) and we don't have any gay coffee houses, etc. It's really wierd, so we're left to playing "is he or isn't he?" all the time
Lior, are you "gay"? By that I mean could this guy or any other tell if you were? I didn't even think about that on your other post! Maybe this dude thinks YOU will belt HIM if he sparks on you lol
Anyway, this is some great news! Yeah! Terrorist granny! HA! That was great.
Are you sure there are no covert clubs in your area? We are a smallish city here and have at least one where gay men and women as well as straight ppl hang out and we all know it and it works well. Check out the scene. Do some more research.

Good luck!
Not the stereotype here; though I have my "queeny" moments
Tampa is a mid-size city and yes, the places in my particular neighborhood are mixed, but it's a wierd vibe. Like if you're gay and you approach another man; you're just trying to hook up with them. I have no gay friends here because of that. All the guys I've dated here had recently moved here at the time (then most of them moved away, which is why, hence, no relationship). Of the gay couples I know, they moved here together or knew each other from school. It truly is a strange gay community here. Words cannot describe it.
